As we move into summer, I am filled with a
sense of pride and excitement for the direction
the LMGI is heading. This year has been pivotal
for our organization, and our recent Board of
Directors Retreat in May served as a reminder
of just how far we've come and the incredible
energy continuing to drive us forward.
The retreat was not only a time for reflection
and strategic planning but also an opportunity
for the Board to come together, galvanize and strengthen our shared vision for
the Guild's future.
As a group, we are more committed than ever ensuring the LMGI remains at the
forefront of the industry, fostering growth and collaboration. Events like these
allow us to align our goals, share ideas and reignite our passion for the work we
do, reminding us of the important role each Board member contributes guiding
the Guild toward continued success.
The LMGI's global expansion continues to bloom, both in our membership and
through our relationships with film commissions and industry organizations
worldwide.
We are becoming a more visible force in the global film community, and this reach
ensures our members are being recognized, supported and given opportunities
on a broader scale. The Guild is no longer just a community; it is a movement and
it's one we all have a hand in shaping.
Looking ahead to the 12th Annual LMGI Awards this August, I am reminded by the
nominees and outstanding work we, as location professionals, bring to the table.
The latest issue of
LMGI Compass highlights the finalists—an incredible group of
individuals and teams that continue to raise the bar in our field. Their work serves
as an inspiration to us all and reminds us of the immense value we add to the
stories we help tell.
Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to the LMGI. It is your passion,
commitment and hard work that make this organization what it is today.
Here's to more growth, more connections and more success as we move into the
second half of the year!
