On the precipice of adulthood, teenagers Hege, Romain, and Bjørn Tore leave the comforts
of home to enroll in a traditional "folk high school" in the wilds of northernmost Norway.
Dropped at the edge of the world, they must rely on only themselves and a loyal pack of sled
dogs as they take the daunting step from childhood to adulthood. Freed from technology,
social media, and the noise of modern life, this brave trio learns to face themselves for the
fi rst time and experience an unexpected transformation.
Directors Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady's (Jesus Camp) new documentary tells a story
of connection and rekindling hope for a brighter future. Folktales premiered at the 2025
Sundance Film Festival.
