2 I D G A M O N T H L Y DGA Members catch up with friends and colleagues during the Annual Membership Meetings in Los Angeles and New York. The 2025 DGA Annual Membership Meetings took place at the Guild's Los Angeles headquarters on Wednesday, May 14 and at the New York Theatre on Tuesday, May 20. Secretary-Treasurer/Past President Paris Barclay delivered the State-of-the-Guild report in Los Angeles and National Vice President Laura Belsey presided over the meeting in New York. Standing in for President Lesli Linka Glatter who was unable to attend this year's meetings due to her shooting schedule, both Barclay and Belsey acknowledged that the past four years have been difficult for the industry. But they also noted that in its almost 90-years, the DGA has weathered many storms and throughout its history has found innovative ways to protect and extend the creative and economic rights of our members. Both went on to discuss, at length, the number one priority for the DGA during this once-in-a-lifetime industry contraction: bringing work back to the United States. "The DGA is working tirelessly to bring production back to the United States and to preserve the production that already exists here, and we are fighting to make that a reality," said Barclay. "In California, Western Executive Director Rebecca Rhine has been working with our sister Guilds and Unions to launch the 'Keep California Rolling' campaign to make sure that any increase in the state's tax incentive program for film and TV production was all about jobs." DGA members fill the Guild's Los Angeles theater to hear DGA Secretary-Treasurer/Past President Paris Barclay deliver the State-of-the-Guild Report. 2025 DGA Annual Membership Meetings in Los Angeles and New York
