scenes. I'm always thinking, "Oh no, I'm so sorry I made you create all this food," or "I'm sorry we have hundreds of soldiers dying in battle and you have to reset everything 15 million times!" So yes, there are definitely moments when I'm in awe of what they do, and I'm always incredibly grateful when they rise to the challenge. PROP CULTURE: Coming onto The Walking Dead after its established world was already in place, how much did you rely on the Property Master as a key resource for understanding the nuances of that world? LATOYA MORGAN: Absolutely, yes. And ironically, during my years on The Walking Dead, I actually recommended Kelly Farrah, who I worked with on TURN, to come over, and they ended up hiring him! It was great to work with him in a different, more modern, but still very gritty world. And as usual, he rose to the occasion and created some incredible props for that show as well. PROP CULTURE: Moving from LaToya Morgan, the writer and producer, to LaToya Morgan, the movie fan, what are some props from cinema history that you would be absolutely thrilled to get your hands on and own? LATOYA MORGAN: The metal skeleton from Terminator 2. I have a replica of the T-1000, not the full body, but a bust of his liquid metal, which was fun. I would love the transit letters from Casablanca. That would be incredible. PROP CULTURE: My favorite movie of all time. LATOYA MORGAN: Isn't it? Well, as a prop, the transit letters help move the plot forward. Everyone needs these letters to get out of Casablanca! It's such a beautiful film. Also, the flamethrower from The Thing, very much so! I think Ripley's double guns from Aliens when she goes down the elevator—I love that scene! Anything from Black Panther. All those props were absolutely incredible. Anything from Night of the Living Dead, but that is literally one of my all-time favorites as well. I would also say I'm a big fan of license plates in movies, so the license plate from Ghostbusters, "ECTO-1" or the "OUTATIME" license plate from Back to the Future—love that! And I would also say this is a TV show, but I'm the biggest X-Files fan, so I would love just one pack of Morley's from the Cigarette Smoking Man. Now, there's one poster that I would love to have because I love the movie so much and that's the Raquel Welch poster from The Shawshank Redemption from when he's tunneling through the wall. That to me is one of my white whales, I gotta get that somehow! PROP CULTURE: The Shawshank Redemption is also one of my favorite movies. LATOYA MORGAN: Mine too. And the rock hammer—the rock hammer has such an important role in the story. I love stuff like that. The lightsaber from Star Wars! I don't know how this is even possible that I don't have a lightsaber. But yeah, I really need a lightsaber, for sure! PROP CULTURE: LaToya, this has been such an incredible pleasure! Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous insights and passion! It's been absolutely wonderful. Is there anything else that you wanted to add? LATOYA MORGAN: No, no. This was so fun! Thank you so much for having this time to talk to me. THE WALKING DEAD POSTER FROM ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. BLACK PANTHER GHOSTBUSTERS THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION
