Her infectious enthusiasm shines through immediately, reflecting the joy she experiences both on set and in the world of filmmaking, a passion she readily shares. A self- professed "film nerd," she embraces this title wholeheartedly. LaToya's work has graced our screens with her insightful writing and producing on such monumental shows as The Walking Dead, TURN: Washington's Spies, Parenthood, Shameless, and the post- apocalyptic fantasy Into the Badlands. LaToya Morgan has extended her storytelling talents to the realm of comic books, beginning with Dark Blood in 2021. The Prop Culture Interview She subsequently penned a tie-in graphic novel for the Creed franchise, titled Creed: The Next Round, and contributed to DC Comics horror anthology series, DC Horror Presents, which has been described as featuring narratives from "some of the most terribly disturbed minds in the horror genre today." And now, alongside J.J. Abrams, LaToya Morgan has created, executive produced, written, and is currently the showrunner for the recently released HBO period crime drama Duster, starring Josh Holloway. Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us. LATOYA MORGAN: Hey! My pleasure. PROP CULTURE: Is it fair to say that you seem to bring a lot of fandom and geekiness into your projects?
