The series, which is executive produced by Christopher Ford, Jon Watts, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kenne- dy, and Colin Wilson, has quickly become a fan favorite and a critical success by blend- ing nostalgia with fresh storytelling. CineMontage recently caught up with the picture editing crew to learn more about their history with the franchise, their col- laborative workflow, the most memorable sequences they worked on, and the unique challenges of editing an episodic series within the expansive "Star Wars" universe. CineMontage: How did each of you first get involved in the series? Eisen: I've been involved in Jon Fa- vreau's world of "The Mandalorian" since the beginning. I did a couple of seasons of "The Mandalorian," and then we did a season of "The Book of Boba Fett." And then when that was happening, they were going to start another season of "The Man- dalorian," and Jon said, 'Hey, we have this other show starting soon that Jon Watts and Chris Ford are going to be showrunning. Do you want to take a look at the scripts and see what you think?' I did, and I was By Kristin Marguerite Doidge "Star Wars: Skeleton Crew," which premiered on Disney+ in December, fol- lows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the likes of Jod Na Nawood, the mysterious character played by Jude Law. Finding their way home — and meeting unlikely allies and enemies — would become a greater adven- ture than they ever imagined.
