The crew endured two weeks of nights with rain machines, fire, car wrecks, etc. Last summer, Aron and his team with the extra help of boom op Ben Farthing, worked on That's Her, a low-budget Atlanta locally lensed comedy, starring comedian "Kountry Wayne" and directed by Nina Miller. Ben did an excellent job completing the project with Aron's crew… October of 2024 brought a Tyler Perry production of R&B, a modern romantic retelling of the biblical tale of "Ruth" with a 20-day shoot in metro Atlanta and a vineyard in Dahlonega, GA. Directed by Alanna Brown, starring Phylicia Rashad as Naomi and recording artist/actress Serayah in the lead role as Ruth. Record producers Kenny "Babyface" Edmunds and Jermaine Dupri contributed to the score and play themselves in this production from executive producer Devon Franklin. Aron and his team of boom op Leo Nasca, utility Nik Waddell, and playback Raegan Wexler, captured all dialogue and music for this project which is set to be released by Netflix. From NBCUniversal StudioPost Jet setter Jon Taylor CAS has been up at DBC Sound in Vancouver, Canada, working with 87 North Productions on two Universal titles, Love Hurts and Nobody 2… On the Hitchcock Mixing Stage, a handful of classic Universal titles have undergone sound restoration with Frank Montano CAS mixing. Titles ranging from Christmas fave How the Grinch Stole Christmas to Sam Mendes' Desert Storm classic, Jarhead. We will soon be going "Back In Time" for the 40th anniversary of Robert Zemeckis' Back to the Future… On Mix 6, we've had the pleasure of having mixers Larry Benjamin CAS and Tim Hoogenakker CAS working on Poker Face Season 2, as well as a new Netflix series, starring Jason Bateman… With warm weather right around the corner, Mark Fleming and Myron Nettinga have been working on a Netflix summer series called The Waterfront on Mix 1… The Mix 2 crew of Keith Rogers CAS and Steve Bucino CAS have been working on NBC's Suits LA, a spinoff of Suits— this time following a group of entertainment lawyers… In their new space on Mix 14, John Cook CAS and Brian Dinkins just wrapped up Season 4 of Abbott Elementary for Hulu. John and James Parnell CAS are currently working on Season 4 of HBO favorite, Hacks, as well as NBC's Hunting Party… Peter Nusbaum and Whitney Purple have also been busy breaking in their new stage— Mix 15—with titles Poppa's House, Happy's Place, Mid Century Modern, and Upload… Over on Mix 19, Andy King and Jon Mete have been busy on Season 3 of FBI: International and Season 26 of Law & Order: SVU… And on Mix A, Adam Sawelson CAS and Kevin Roache CAS have been mixing NBC's Grosse Pointe Garden Society, as well as Chicago Med… On Mix B, Todd Morrissey and Milo Train have been mixing Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, and Season 8 of Outlander… On Mix C, Bob Edmondson and Rebuen Ripley are working on Dick Wolf's FBI: Most Wanted & Law & Order's Organized Crime… And on Mix G, Darrin Heinis and Alex Lee are working on Season 24 of Law & Order.
