With rare behind-the-scenes footage, it chronicles their unprecedented rise to global stardom after performing on The Ed Sullivan Show to more than 73 million viewers! I was elated to speak with re-recording mixers (and longtime friends) Giles Martin and Josh Berger, both of whom are some of the most talented mixers I've been lucky enough to come in contact with. Their devotion to the art of sound, attention to detail, and just being all-around amazing people is revered. From Abbey Road Studios in London to Harbor Studios in New York City, these mix magicians—while an ocean apart—created a seamless soundtrack to this year's winner. Re-recording Mixer Giles Martin Giles Martin! That's a beautiful little space you have there. I've got a place at Abbey Road, and this is my place down in the Cotswolds. I've got an Atmos room. If you don't mind me starting off with some of your accolades. Two Grammy wins from four nominations. Two Emmy nominations with one win. And with the CAS Award, you're two for two! And the award is … listen—I never, when I started, didn't ever think I'd get any awards for anything, or even get a job doing anything. In all honesty, I really didn't! I feel very humbled by it. I don't think it's a justification of me being employed. You've produced, mixed, and remastered some of the greatest hits. Head of Audio and Sound UMG, and you have worked on things that I find super interesting. Cirque du Soleil and the famous Broadway play Rent. What were your earliest thoughts or experiences that led you to want to be involved with sound? For me, it's listening to the Beatles records with my mom, so that makes me extremely curious. What was your experience like, and how you grew up? TELEVISION NON-FICTION, VARIETY OR MUSIC – SERIES OR SPECIALS BEATLES '64 b y K e i t h H o d n e C A S
