As leaders on the set, Directors and directorial team members can help to create an environment where everyone feels respected, valued and supported. In this lab, the panelists will highlight their experiences working across different shows, share resources, and offer tips and best practices on how to make sets more inclusive. The attendees will learn more about how Directors and their teams can work collaboratively on set to ensure voices are heard and build increased understanding, awareness and communication around what is needed for all members of production to be able to do their best work. The DDI Labs focus on education and career development for members interested in episodic television and is designed to provide current information on the Director's craft delivered by experienced Episodic Television Directors. LGBTQ+ Committee presents: Pride Is a Riot Please join the DGA LGBTQ+ Committee for its annual Pride Celebration, taking place live at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, with a live stream to the Guild's New York Board Room. In recognition of Pride's historic roots as an act of resistance, this year's event, Pride Is a Riot, honors the enduring resilience of the LGBTQ+ community and the ongoing fight for equality and visibility. The evening will feature a surprise guest speaker whose work exemplifies these themes, followed by a panel discussion highlighting the voices of DGA members whose rights are now most directly under threat and whose careers have persevered through resilience — the ultimate act of resistance. These panelists will candidly share their personal triumphs and challenges and offer their own unique insights into successful creative collaborations with fellow DGA members. Panelists will be listed on www.dga.org closer to the date of this event.
