Pursuant to the DGA's Constitution and Bylaws, there shall be an Annual Meeting of the membership of the Guild to be held in two divisions, one in Los Angeles and one in New York. The focus of the meeting is informational. Reports are currently scheduled to be given by DGA Offi cers, Category Council Chairs, the CEO of the Pension and Health Plans, and additional Committee Chairs. A reception will follow. How do I RSVP to Attend? Emails will be sent to all members inviting them to either attend, assign a proxy or give an excuse. Members can respond to the links in that email or visit the home page of www.dga.org and click on the Annual Meeting link. What do I need to bring to the meeting? Check-in at the Annual Meetings will be done by swiping your DGA membership card, just like at membership screenings. Please bring to the meeting your DGA membership card or a valid photo ID (e.g. your driver's license). When you arrive, simply check in. Please remember, if you do not check in, you will not be admitted to the Annual Meeting and your attendance will not be recorded, which may subject you to a fi ne for non-attendance. If I am unable to attend the Annual Meeting, how do I assign my proxy to another member? You can quickly and easily assign your proxy to any active member in good standing via the link on the Annual Meeting Response Page at www.dga.org. Because retirees are ineligible to vote at the Annual Meeting, you may not assign your proxy to a retired member. Proxies for the May 14 Los Angeles Annual Meeting must be designated no later than 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Proxies for the May 20 New York Annual Meeting must be designated no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2025. No proxies will be accepted after these dates and times. If you wish to fi ll out a paper proxy form, that option is available to you by emailing AnnualMeeting@dga.org or calling (310) 289-5333. What if I am not attending the meeting and don't wish to assign my proxy? If you cannot attend and do not wish to appoint a proxy, your Council has mandated that you must inform the Guild of your planned non- attendance prior to the meeting, either via the online voting portal or in a written statement submitted to the Guild stating your reason for non-attendance. If you do not assign a proxy, submit a non-attendance excuse, or attend the Annual Meeting, then you may be subject to a nominal fi ne from your Council for non-participation. What if I already assigned my proxy to another member, but now it looks as though I will be able to attend the meeting in person? By all means, please come to the meeting. Just update your selection on the Annual Meeting Response page to mark yourself as attending. I am an Eastern member who will be in Los Angeles at the time of the West Coast meeting (or vice versa). Can I attend? Defi nitely. Please email AnnualMeeting@dga.org to notify the Guild of which meeting you plan to attend. When you arrive, just check in like any other member at the meeting you happen to be attending. Are Retired members required to attend the Annual Meeting? Retired members are welcome, but not required to attend the Annual Meeting. If you are a retired member and would like to attend, please register on the Annual Meeting Response Page. Retired members cannot assign a proxy and do not have to fi le an excuse if they select not to attend the meeting. What if I planned to attend the meeting and couldn't make it due to a last-minute emergency (work-related or otherwise)? Simply go to the online voting portal to fi le the reason for non- attendance or mail or fax a signed non-attendance excuse to the Guild within 30 days following the Annual Meeting. Can I attend virtually? No. These meetings will be held safely in person and give members the opportunity to network and hear from your leadership. Can I bring a non-member guest with me? No. Only DGA members may attend the Annual Member- ship Meeting. Non-members will not be admitted. Who do I contact at the Guild if I still have questions? Please email AnnualMeeting@dga.org or call the Guild's National Offi ce at 310-289-5333.
