CONTRIBUTORS POLA SHREIBER/ ALL THE PROPS YOU CANNOT SEE Pola Shreiber was born in Soviet Russia to a family of filmmakers. In 1981, she and her mother immigrated to the United States. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a Master's Degree in experimental animation and started her career in Hollywood. In 1987, while working on the feature film La Bamba, she became a Property Master and went on to work on such projects as Gilmore Girls, Dexter, Big Love, and The Lincoln Lawyer. MYCHAEL BATES MYCHAEL BATES/ BUILDING THE WORLD OF SATURDAY NIGHT Mychael Bates started working in the industry at 19 after leaving UCI after two semesters. After working for three years as a 3-card and 2-card, he finally received his 1-card in 1986. Working for many brilliant Property Masters such as Bill Petrotta, Jerry Moss, Tom Shaw, Mark Wade, Emily Ferry, and many others, he was able to log his 3k hours and take his Property Masters test! After passing, he started working for many great filmmakers like Garry Marshall, Joel Schumacher, Sean Penn, Nancy Meyers, Adam McKay, Seth Gordon, and Chris Nolan. As a proud father of three, he is very blessed by all three and their individual accomplishments.
