And this seventh and final season was no exception. After many, many sets crafted at our studio, we ended our run by building a beautifully faded seaside mansion onstage that matched the exterior location we were planning to shoot in Colombia. And fittingly, our very last locations in Los Angeles were creating a giant military cemetery at the Los Angeles Arboretum and constructing an entire Afghan village on a ranch forty-five minutes outside of the city. We ended our actual shooting schedule in Colombia, doubling for Honduras, where we not only shot in various small picturesque favelas but also built a salsa club in the city of Santa Marta and a military outpost in the jungles of Palomino. In true SEAL Team dramatic fashion, our last shot of the entire series was a full-on gun battle on the beach. And as Bravo team sprinted from the palm tree coconut grove, pursued by guerrillas, into the rough surf and waiting zodiac rafts, the sun was setting…over the Caribbean and also on our show. Pretty epic indeed. For seven seasons and one hundred and fourteen episodes, weathering strikes and COVID, our crews in Los Angeles and around the world set the bar of the show so high that the challenge became how to maintain that level whenever a new opportunity came our way. What we achieved here week after week was mind-boggling and our dedicated family of artisans poured their souls into each episode and every set we built. And as corny as it sounds, that's why I started referring to my crew as, not my Art Department but, my heART Department. And I'll be forever grateful for their dedication.
