And SEAL Team has provided that opportunity—to not only take our storytelling to exotic locales but to also tell the important stories of our military, if not IN the exact places that these stories take place, at least NEAR enough to make us all feel what it may have been like to be on the front line in the war on terror. Set in modern-day, SEAL Team tells stories about the members of Bravo team and their lives in and outside the wire, and from the onset the writers made a decision to give an honest "warts and all" depiction of the toll war takes on, not just those in uniform, but everyone in its path. Stories of veterans' challenges with ongoing healthcare and the physical and psychological trauma they and their families are left to deal with were a big part of the show. And we have enjoyed great success with our storytelling. Whether it's the homelife stories in Virginia Beach where Bravo team is headquartered or the many missions overseas to destinations as varied as Mali, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and on and on, SEAL Team has set out to tell all these with the conviction of the reality that they deserve. The show is based on real stories brought to life with the help of some real-deal SEALs in the writers' room, as well as others acting or serving as technical consultants.
