LABOR SCHOOL WHAT IS THE WDS FOUNDATION? The Richard F. Walsh/Alfred W. Di Tolla/Harold P. Spivak Foundation is a charitable foundation established by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) that provides scholarships for the children of IATSE members and makes charitable contributions to entertainment-related charities, as well as other worthwhile charities and foundations. WHY DOES IT MATTER TO YOU? The Walsh/Di Tolla/Spivak Foundation assists IATSE members in times of catastrophe, and when the wildfires occurred in Los Angeles County, IATSE activated the Disaster Relief Committee, making funds quickly available for those affected by the fires. This "no strings attached" financial aid is for IATSE members in Good Standing, and through it, TAG members in Good Standing who lost homes or were displaced were able to apply and receive much-needed monetary aid right away. In the past, the IATSE has also disbursed these funds to support members affected by tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, and other wildfires. Visit iatse.net/socal-fires for more information and ways to support the fund.
