C I N E M A AU D I O S O C I E T Y. O R G 7 Dan Kelly CAS is a production sound mixer based out of Los Angeles. His career began as a touring musician and live sound mixer in the early 2000's before making the transition into production sound in 2006. Dan's credits include a wide range of projects from The Jim Henson Company to Crank Yankers to Yo Gabba Gabba! to Amazon's Jury Duty. COLLABORATORS Kurt Kassulke CAS is a longtime effects re-recording mixer with an Emmy for Ally McBeal and diverse credits ranging back to The X-Files, The Practice, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NYPD Blue, Castle, Under the Dome, The Vampire Diaries, and Hawaii 5-0. Kurt's most recent work can be heard on Grey's Anatomy, Project Blue Book, Big Sky, and more! After attending a sound workshop conducted by Randy Thom in India, CAS Associate Karthik Mohan MPSE was inspired to learn more about film sound and moved to the United States. He has been nominated for an MPSE Golden Reel Verna Fields Award and was also a two- time nominee for the CAS Student Recognition Award. Karthik started his professional career as a Los Angeles- based sound effects editor three years ago and has since worked on a variety of feature films, both in Hollywood and Indian cinema. His notable sound editing work includes the big-budget blockbuster Indian films Jawan, Indian 2, and recent festival hits like Max Dagan and Paper Flowers. Karthik has also worked on the musical Long December, documentary Interpreters Wanted, along with digital content for Samsung, Levis, Rhode Skin, and for CAS Associate Shubhi Sahni is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California where she teaches sound. She is a past Cinema Audio Society Student Recognition Award finalist. Gregory Vilfranc CAS MPSE is a re-recording mixer and sound designer originally from New York, who now resides in the Greater Boston area with his wife and kids. Gregory is the co-founder of the boutique, fully remote audio post facility Franc Village Studios, where he puts into practice the professional skills he's developed over the past 20-plus years while maintaining a "relationship first" philosophy for all his clients. In addition to providing audio post support for TV and film on the independent circuit, he's also contributed to the audiobook and podcast space where he's edited, mixed, and mastered more than 60 published audiobooks. Recently, Gregory teamed up with Audible Originals on their podcast space, mixing and adding sound design to titles, including Think Like a Champion w/Russell Wilson, Soldiers of Science, In Love, and Struggle Vol. 2, and most notably, Mandela: The Lost Tapes. In addition to audio post, Gregory is an accomplished composer and vocalist. As a BMI member, his Jerry Yuen is a New York City native who has worked in production sound for more than three decades. His interest in sound recording and electronics was influenced early on by his father, Kelly, who was a DIY audiophile hobbyist, passionate about creating tube amps and hi-fi speakers. Jerry found an interest working in film after seeing a Nagra being used on a guerrilla film set in NYC during the early '90s. Since then, he has worked with iconic directors such as Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, and Steven Spielberg. Recently, he was the boom operator on James Mangold's A Complete Unknown and has just completed work on Scott Cooper's Deliver Me From Nowhere, which tells the story of how Bruce Springsteen created his Nebraska record. Jerry lives in NYC's Lower East Side with his wife, Sandi. shows like The Wheel of Time and Hanna. His work has been featured on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, AMC+, PBS, and has played at prestigious festivals such as Festival de Cannes, Tribeca Film Festival, and the IFFR (in Rotterdam), among others. Karthik is grateful to have a great group of mentors and supervisors who continue to support his journey and his quest to keep learning more. compositions have been featured on networks, including VH1, Oxygen, and MTV, and have received placement in several popular reality TV shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Love and Hip Hop, and others. Gregory is a member of The Society of Composers & Lyricists, the Cinema Audio Society, and the Television Academy.
