Give Back to Keep the Work Going: Celebrate 40 Years of Support with a Gift of $40 or More If you have ever been assisted by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation or participated in one of its free programs, we're asking you to give back to ensure the next generation of performers has access to the same vital resources and programs that have empowered our community for the last four decades. Give your gift of support to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation today at sagaftrafoundation.org/donate. The COVID-19 pandemic shuts down the industry, shifting the Foundation's in-person business model in Los Angeles and New York to serving all members nationwide through virtual programming. In addition, under the leadership of its new president, Courtney B. Vance, the Foundation raises and grants over $7 million in emergency financial assistance to aid more than 7,500 SAG-AFTRA members with basic needs, including rent, groceries, utilities and medical bills, and remains connected to the community throughout the duration of the pandemic. The Foundation's state-of-the-art Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists opens in Los Angeles, featuring the Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Screening Room, the Leonardo DiCaprio On-Camera Studio, the Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab, the Cate Blanchett Classroom, the Nicole Kidman Greenroom and several other cutting-edge facilities, spaces and resources for SAG-AFTRA members. During the historic WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the Foundation grants over $11.5 million in emergency financial assistance to thousands of SAG-AFTRA members to help keep roofs over their heads and food on their tables, as well as cover essential medical bills and utilities until members return to work and get back on their feet. 2020 2024 2023 SHUT TERSTOCK FOR SAG-AFTRA
