Ignatius J. "Iggie" Wolfington — nicknamed the "fighting fat boy of the 102nd" — would have died near Linnich, Germany. His medical report detailed the wound through his left shoulder: "Thorax, thoracic wall; Supraclavical region; Causative agent: Bullet, machine gun." Already a professional character actor, acting coach Wolfington with Screen Actors Guild president Ed Asner, who had just handed him the Award.
