THE ARTISAN SPRING 2025 • 19 THE EARLY YEARS For the first phase of Callas's life, I wanted to capture the elegance of the young diva during her rise to stardom. I did this by emulating the style that was her trademark: simple but sophisticated. For Angelina, this had to be scaled to her delicate features as I had stated before. ere was a lot to be considered to make the looks of Maria Callas work on Angelina and stay true to the period and to Maria's look. As Maria Callas's career evolved, so did her look becoming more dramatic and as the '60s approached, the styles became more sculpted, as well as more voluminous with more height. THE LATER YEARS Her personal struggles with her health and her voice, she started to withdraw from the public and I reflected that with her hair. Studying all the photos I could find (which there were not a lot of ), I styled her hair to be more understated and much more natural like the Adruitha Lee with Angelina Jolie
