WSC PANEL
DAY OF THE DEAD
In September, the Women's Steering Committee (WSC)
of Local 700 teamed with the Writers Guild of America
West (WGAW) for a panel discussion to foster better
understanding between the writers and postproduction
communities. More than 180 people attended in person
at the WGAW headquarters in Los Angeles and online
via Zoom. Panelists included MPEG WSC co-chair, pic-
ture editor Aimee Jennings ("S.W.A.T.," "The Other
Black Girl"). ■
In October, Local 700's booth at the Dia de
las Muertos (Day of the Dead) event at Holly-
wood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles was
a tribute to tradition, community, and re-
membrance. Surrounded by vibrant dancers,
stunning altars, and rich symbols of life and
memory, we came together to honor loved
ones and celebrate the spirit of the day. ■
