She will focus on expanding client partnerships and leveraging strategic technol- ogy & business initiatives while working with internal teams to unlock new revenue opportunities and nurture long-term client collaborations. Gourrier began her career in Digital Domain's advertising division and now has over 20 years of industry experience. She returns to the studio from Dneg, where she was co-president, overseeing shows for the feature and episodic unit in Los Angeles. Her trusted relationships with Warner Bros., Marvel, Apple, Netflix and Sony position her to secure groundbreaking opportunities and partnerships. PARKER JARVIE Colorist Parker Jarvie has moved from Company 3's Los Angeles studio to their Atlanta location, where he will be available to support the region's booming production scene. Jarvie has worked on various proj- ects, including the HBO documentary series 100 Foot Wave and the Netflix documentary feature Sr. He also developed the look for Sledgehammer Games' Call of Duty: Vanguard. Some of his commercial credits include work with brands that include Audi, Adidas, Calvin Klein and Porsche. He also continues to work closely with Stefan Sonnenfeld on notable titles that include Boys in the Boat, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Them: The Scare. MANUEL RAMÍREZ Pitch Black, the parent company of visual effects studios FuseFX, Folks, Rising Sun Pictures and El Ranchito, has appointed Manuel Ramírez president of El Ranchito, which has locations in Madrid and Barcelona. He takes over for co-founder Félix Bergés and will manage the studio's daily operations while continuing to position Spain as a central hub for vi- sual effects. Bergés, who was instrumental in the studio's growth and interna- tional acclaim, will transition to an advisory role while continuing to support the company's development and strategic direction. Ramírez's career in the VFX industry spans more than 20 years. He was most recently studio director for several years, playing a crucial role in driving both the creative and operational success of El Ranchito. He joined the com- pany in 2015 to establish and lead the effects department, and over time, took on additional responsibilities as head of VFX, managing operations, research & development, and pipeline development. DOUG BLOOM London's MPC (Moving Picture Company) and Mikros Animation, part of the Technicolor Group, appointed Doug Bloom senior technology officer. With over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Bloom brings expertise in visual effects, animation and immersive experiences. His diverse portfolio en- compasses feature films, theme park attractions and R&D projects for top technology companies. Most recently, he was director of technical art at Samsung Research America's Neon/StarLabs division. There, he spearheaded the development of realtime, hyper-realistic virtual humans, and led cross-functional teams of researchers and engineers in advancing generative AI, machine learning and realtime computing. Prior to his work at Samsung, Bloom held senior creative roles at studios that include Framestore and Method Studios. RYAN STASYSHYN Rodeo FX has appointed Ryan Stasyshyn the new head of its Toronto office. He brings a cred- it list that includes work on WandaVision, HBO's Watchmen, John Wick: Chapter 4, The Handmaid's Tale, 1923 and Priscilla. Stasyshyn is well known in the Toronto community, having worked with Intelligent Creature, Monsters Aliens Robots Zombie and Maverick VFX. Throughout his career, Stasyshyn gained valuable on-set experience while serving as the head of production, head of operations and managing director. His tenures at various high-profile studios gives him a deep understanding of virtual production. NICK GILBERG, MARC THOMAS Creative editorial house Final Cut in Los Angeles recently added editors Nick Gilberg (top) and Marc Thomas (bottom) to its roster. The studio has loca- tions in London, LA and New York. Both Gilbert and Thomas will be based out of the New York studio. Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Nick Gilberg has won Clios, Cannes and a D&AD Wood Pencil, as well as been recognized at the London Fashion Film Festival. Some of his credits include work on the coun- try of Dubai's A Romance to Remember spot, which starred Zac Efron and Jessica Alba. He also contribut- ed to Taylor Swift's Me!, as well as to Jif's The Return ad in which Ludacris morphs into a superhero. Marc Thomas, by contrast, is a born-and-bred New Yorker who got his start cutting reels and music videos. He went on to work at agencies such as JWT, BBDO, Y&R and Droga5. Among his credits are Common and Stevie Wonder's docu-video Black America Again. He was also a creative force behind Meta's Black History Told By… series. DAISY SCHMITT Senior producer Daisy Schmitt has joined creative studio Carbon in Los Angeles, bringing with her a wide range of experience and connections across all stages of commercial production. Schmitt spent the past 12 years in both full-time and freelance roles at ad agencies, production companies and post houses, including Johannes Leonardo, Joan Creative, Scholar, ArtClass and Voyager Productions. From CG-heavy and complex VFX work, to finishing and color, Schmitt has wide-ranging industry knowledge that informs and enhances the jobs she works on. A few of her career highlights include producing a Super Bowl spot for Peacock and a complex CG holiday campaign for Mac Cosmetics. ADAM BECHT Santa Monica, CA's Arcade, the bi-coastal editori- al collective, has signed commercial film producer Adam Becht as executive producer. He has extensive experience that spans agency, production and post production, and has garnered numerous accolades, including Emmys, Grammys, Cannes Lions, AICP, MTV Music Video Awards and Webby Awards. Originally from New York, Becht brings more than a decade of experience in senior and executive producer roles. He's held positions at Bikini Edit, Cut+Run, R/GA and Deutsch. Most recently, he served as the managing director of Cabin Editing.
