Nvidia's Omniverse is a platform of application programming interfaces, software development kits and services that enable developers to seamlessly combine Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) and Nvidia RTX rendering technologies into existing software tools. By connecting OpenUSD-based ap- plications developed on Omniverse with Sony's spatial reality display, creators can instantly view and manipulate 3D assets in realtime. This allows creators to turn their digital designs into holographic-like experiences, giving them the freedom to explore all aspects of their work from every angle without any extra hardware required. The ELF-SR2's 4K LCD panel supports approximately 100 percent of the Adobe RGB color gamut, and is suitable for critical professional creative work. A high-speed vision sensor makes it easy to view 3D images from varied view- ing positions. SENNHEISER'S EVOLUTION WIRELESS SYSTEM DESIGNED FOR FILMMAKERS OLD LYME, CT — Earlier this year, Sennheiser (www.sennheiser.com) launched its fifth generation Evolution Wireless systems for filmmaking and video ap- plications. Purpose-built for content creators, the EW-DP is a fully digital UHF wireless microphone system with a new portable design and high level of audio quality. At its heart is a compact, intelligent receiver that helps even novice users set up their audio with ease. The EW-DP EK receiver features a magnetic stacking system, and can be conveniently controlled remotely via the Smart Assist app. Besides the EW-DP EK receiver, the series includes a body pack transmitter for clip-on mics (EW-D SK), a handheld transmitter (EW-D SKM-S) and a plug- on transmitter (EW-DP SKP). As part of the larger Evolution Wireless digital family, EW-DP inherits the family features, such as the extremely low latency of 1.9ms and a wide 134dB dynamic input range, ensuring that sounds ranging from a soft whisper to a loud scream can be reliably captured without distortion. Three sets are currently available. The EW-DP ME 2 set comes with a body- pack transmitter and the ME 2 omni-directional lavalier microphone. The EW-DP ME 4 set includes a cardioid clip-on micro- phone for noisier environ- ments. The EW-DP 835 set contains a handheld transmitter with cardioid MMD 835 dynamic micro- phone head. Accessories are also included. AXLE AI'S NEW MAC MINI BUNDLES LEVERAGE ON-PREMISE A.I. BOSTON — Axle AI (www.axle. ai), the provider of AI-powered media asset management software, recently released three bundles that include Apple's Mac mini M4 hardware. Unlike media management systems that run partly or exclusively in the cloud, Axel AI's systems allow full, unattended operation for video that is stored on-prem- ise, in the same network as editing workstations and NAS storage. Axle AI MAM software supports integration with popular video editing solutions, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve, and, via an optional module, Avid Media Composer. Part of Axle AI's appeal is the privacy and affordability of running AI- powered video-search tools onsite, without the potential of exposing footage to cloud security breaches or the scraping used to train AI large language models in the cloud. In Axle's bundles, all training, as well as searchable meta- data, is kept local and is not shared. The cost advantages can be dramatic, as per-hour cloud processing costs are replaced by predictable, fixed purchases and monthly budgets for unlimited use. Three bundles are now available. The Axle Mac mini M4 bundle ($5,995) includes Axle software and Mac mini M4, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD and 10GigE network hardware. The Pro bundle ($6,995) includes Axle software and Mac mini M4 Pro, 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD and 10GigE hardware. The Pro-Nvidia bundle ($8,995) includes software, a Mac mini M4 Pro with 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 10GigE network hardware, HP Victus 15L tower system with Nvidia 4060 GPU, 8GB VRAM, Intel i7, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD hardware and a 30-day license for Axle Tags AI engines.
