sagaftra.org | Fall/Winter 2024 | SAG-AFTRA 85 07 You cannot be asked to perform a stunt. 08 Slates may only require the following information: your name, height, city of residence, current location, your age and birthday for minors, and your special skills. You need only provide a head-and-shoulders or full-body shot in portrait orientation. 09 You cannot be asked to appear nude or in anything more revealing than a bathing suit. 10 Casting must provide dancers with music and choreography limited to four eight-beat counts, performable in an 8x8 space. They cannot require you to solicit dance partners or backup dancers. Video submissions need only be solo. 11 The production must securely store your audition tapes, meaning only people with a legitimate business interest may have access. 12 If the production wants to use your self-tape for any public use, they must obtain your consent when they plan to use it, not at the time of the self-tape submission. 13 Upon request, producers must make available a window of time for performers to have in-person or live virtual sessions, such as via Zoom, scheduled on a first-come, first served basis. VIOLATIONS We encourage you to contact SAG-AFTRA with any casting process violations you observe or experience. Those claim inquiries will be referred to a conciliation committee for resolution. If the violation cannot be resolved, it will go to arbitration, where it will be enforced like other contract language. If you have any questions about what's allowed or wish to report possible violations of SAG-AFTRA's casting guidelines, contact the Entertainment Contracts Department at EntContractsInfo@sagaftra.org or call (323) 549-6828.
