M OT I O N P I CTU R E S O U N D E D I TO R S I 13 BY BERNARD WEISER MPSE Bridging the Gap BETWEEN ASPIRING PROFESSIONALS AND INDUSTRY EXPERTS Happy Holidays!!! The end of 2024 is here and what a difficult year it has been for so many of us in post-production. We hope that most of you have been able to weather these hard times and survive financially and we all are expecting work to come back with the new year as production seems to be ramping up. EIPMA has continued to progress with the incredible support of our member organizations. As you know, EIPMA is a charitable nonprofit organization and are completely reliant on donations. All of us at EIPMA are volunteers, so our costs are low. We are so grateful for donations from the Cinema Audio Society (CAS) and the Motion Picture Sound Editors, along with sponsor donations from our events. EIPMA wishes to give our heartfelt thanks to you all. Of course, we also accept small individual donations through our website eipma.org. Every dollar is so appreciated. We are proud to note that we have started our One-on-One Mentoring Program. Our participation at the city of Burbank's 1st Media Expo and Job Fair with a panel discussion and information table was a big success with 3,500 attendees and started an inflow of requests for this program showing the important need for the help and mentorship we provide.
