C I N E M A A U D I O S O C I E T Y. O R G 49 For years, I feel like our "little documentary jobs" with smaller budgets were considered "lesser than." We know that audio work, in virtually any form, can be grueling. However, we do it because we have a crazy passion for it. The thrill we receive when we come out of that black hole and listen to a difficult job that is well done. The countless hours in a dark mix room, staring at a computer screen, and tweaking knobs on your mixing board, burning the silica in your ears to perfect the mix, is unmatched. I can't get enough of it. I am a new Active member of CAS. Thank you, Stephen Tibbo CAS and Kurt Kassulke CAS for extending your kindness and for the opportunity. I am humbled and honored to be a part of this amazing community, with some of the most talented people I have ever laid ears on and, most importantly, to get the chance to help evolve documentary audio.
