LIGHT IT UP Joy Han BACKGROUND ARTIST This February Joy Han took a Blender class from fellow TAG member Kelsey Roland at Warrior Art Camp, giving her the opportunity to visualize modeling objects she'd always loved: houses. But once she had her first model house, she wasn't sure what to do with it—until one night she dreamed about making light fixtures. She told a couple friends about her idea, and one asked if she was going to use a 3D printer. By springtime, Han was test-printing her Blender models and putting them on light bases, discovering that it was a perfect way to achieve her goal of creating art that's functional as well as beautiful. playhauscreations.com class from fellow TAG member Kelsey class from fellow TAG member Kelsey Roland at Warrior Art Camp, giving her the opportunity to visualize modeling objects she'd always loved: houses. Every collection has its own theme that lets her explore new ideas and moods. "I design each piece to feel like a small part of a larger narrative— something bold, elegant, and whimsical," she says. To Hnatowicz, jewelry is about more than just making something that looks good: "It's about encapsulating a unique essence." justinahnatowicz.com WINTER 2024 17
