Dancer to Dancewear Juliette Juliette Kendall Kendall JULIETTE KENDALL has been versed in sewing since she was a child, doing hand-stitch embroidery, along with her mother. Kendall didn't pick up a sewing machine until she aended The Academy of Art University where she got her BFA in fashion technical design. She has been a Local 705 member since 2018 and has been working in her cra for 12 years. Before she joined the union, she worked at nonunion shops and met someone who referred her for Dancing With the Stars (DWTS). "They knew I was a dancer and that I had worked with stretch before and called me in for an interview. This job takes a very specific skill set that not everyone has but I passed the test and I earned my keep there," she states. Now on her eighth season of the show, every week, Kendall and her team work on numerous costumes for the contestants, and by the end of the season, multiple performance costumes for each contestant.
