Designed by the late Shawna Trpcic, Ahsoka is the continuation of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels, its titular character introduced in live-action form in The Mandalorian series, also designed by Trpcic. We spoke to members of the award-winning costume team about their work on the show, as well as the recognition their team received for their 2024 Emmy win in the Fantasy/Sci-fi Costumes category. Several members of the costume team had been working in the franchise for several seasons. Collaboration in the Force Q&A Gio Kendall Gio Kendall Background Key Costumer "When I was on season two [of The Mandalorian], I was largely on second unit stunts and they tended to improvise quite a bit, which meant that we were calling Shawna and flying in. She and her team over at the warehouse would fly in costumes and we would help put together outfits on the fly. Just, hey, we really need this after all. And she was always game for that. She's like, sure, let's do it. So, she'd bring in the costumes and we would help her. I think that's how I got on her radar.
