16 WINTER 2025 Consciously Collective Consciously Collective The IATSE Latinx Caucus strives to be a support system for all Latinos working in the entertainment industry. Amid the social upheaval and isolation of the summer of 2020, Costumer Jen Martín had a vision: a place where Latinx entertainment industry workers could gather as a collective, representing the many voices, opinions, talents, and ideas that make up the Latinx community. Her union (IATSE 705) had just formed its first-ever Diversity Committee, and she found inspiration as fellow Local 705 members Brittny Chapman and Lynn Ollie started the F.A.B.R.I.C. Collective (Fighting for African American and Black Rights in Costumes).
