This level of personalized serv- ice is another reason why Chicago is such an attractive destina- tion for meetings of all sizes. CHICAGO'S WELCOME MESSAGE: INTENTIONAL INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY Chicago's commitment to inclusivity is another key reason why it has become a premier meetings destination. The city prides itself on being open and welcoming to all, regardless of background. This intentional focus on inclusivity is evident across the city, with ongoing investments in women- and minor- ity-owned businesses. Choose Chicago also works to ensure that LGBTQ+ individuals, women, and minority-owned busi- nesses have a seat at the table when it comes to events and meetings. This inclusive atmosphere makes Chicago a welcom- ing environment for both attendees and meeting planners alike, further enhancing its appeal. COMBINING BUSINESS WITH LEISURE As the trend of blending business with leisure travel contin- ues to grow, Chicago is well-positioned to capitalize on this movement. The city offers a wealth of leisure activities for busi- ness travelers to enjoy before or after their meetings. From tak- ing a boat tour along the Chicago River to exploring Navy Pier or attending one of the many neighborhood festivals, there's always something exciting to do in Chicago. Lake Michigan's picturesque views, iconic attractions, and vibrant cultural scene make it easy for attendees to extend their stay and enjoy the city beyond their meetings. LOOKING TO THE FUTURE Chicago's future as a premier meetings destination looks bright, with new developments on the horizon. The highly anticipated Obama Presidential Center, set to open in 2026, is expected to become a major draw for tourists and meeting planners alike. Additionally, new hotels like the Saint Regis and the RIU are adding to the city's already impressive skyline, fur- ther enhancing Chicago's appeal as a global destination. In the words of Eric Kincaid, Choose Chicago's Vice President of Sales, "In 2024, our client services team received a near-perfect score on post-show surveys, highlighting that we're doing something right. More than half of our shows this year set record attendance, including the DNC. Chicago shined during the DNC, and it's clear that we are a safe, wonderful place that can handle both large-scale and small events with record atten- dance." With its unparalleled infrastructure, collaborative expertise, and inclusive atmosphere, Chicago continues to prove itself as one of the best meeting destinations in the world, capable of handling events of any size with ease and excellence.
