From the red carpet to the aer-party, location professionals, nominees, honorees, presenters, sponsors, LMGI business partners, friends and supporters were pumped in anticipation for the spirited ceremony and the lavish reception that followed. As the world of storytelling has exploded around the globe, so has our international guest list, with nominees from across the US, Great Britain, Africa, Japan, Canada, Europe, Iceland, Australia and Jordan all in attendance. This year, our awards aligned with the Association of Film Commissioners International "AFCI Week," and we were thrilled to mix and mingle with so many of our biggest boosters who were already in town for their event. "Find Your Place" is this year's theme, and the evening's delightful host, award-winning actor and producer Rachael Harris (Lucifer, Suits, The Hangover), kicked off the ceremony by declaring that we were indeed gathered at "truly the best location in all of Hollywood tonight!" Once an historic post office, the Wallis has been transformed into a vibrant cultural hub whose artistic legacy mirrors our own mission of promoting the creativity and skill we bring to our craft. Harris kept the proceedings moving with a light and classy touch as location professionals and special honorees were celebrated for all the places they helped bring to the screen, and their visionary support of the filmmaking community.
