New England D uring Pride Month in June, SAG-AFTRA continued its steadfast support of the LGBTQ+ community and its fight for equality. The month began with a Los Angeles Local NextGen Performers Committee mixer on June 1 to kick off the New Filmmakers LA's monthlong film festival highlighting LGBTQ+ storytellers. On June 20, SAG-AFTRA leadership and guests were treated to an exclusive private tour of the new Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center in New York City. The tour was ahead of its official opening on Pride Live Stonewall Day, June 28. The ribbon-cutting was attended by President Joe Biden and SAG-AFTRA member Elton John. A streaming concert followed featuring a performance by member Cynthia Erivo and other musical artists. Members Alan Cumming, Neil Patrick Harris and Wilson Cruz were among the guests.
