He brings over 14 years of experience working in London and Los Angeles, and a breadth of experience working across a variety of episodic TV projects. Some of Selway's notable credits include work on Netflix's Black Mirror, BBC/AMC's This Is Going To Hurt and Wedding Season for Disney+. His work on This Is Going to Hurt was recognized with the RTS Award for Sound Drama. SUE MCNAMARA Senior producer Sue McNamara has joined Carbon to run some of the studio's largest and most complex design, VFX and directorial projects. McNamara spent the past 16 years working at studios that include Framestore, Company 3 and Method. She executive produced GEICO's Gecko campaign from 2016 to 2023, which spanned 50 CG-heavy com- mercials. In addition, she contributed to a World Cup campaign for Budweiser featuring Lionel Messi, and campaigns for Nike, Samsung and Under Armour. Carbon has location in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. RENÉE ROBSON Creative studio Imaginary Forces in Los Angeles has promoted Renée Robson to executive producer. Her expertise spans production in the realms of traditional live action, motion graphics and emerging technolo- gies. Robson's first tenure at Imaginary Forces began in the early 2000s as a production coordinator. After several years at IF, she returned to live-action produc- tion to further build her skill set through large scale, international brand cam- paigns. She's held leadership positions at Furlined, Tool and The Sweetshop, and has a credit list that includes work for Apple, Google, Microsoft, REI, GirlsWhoCode and SK-II. She returned to IF in 2017 and expanded her skills to include the production of main title sequences. GREG MITCHELS Editorial/finishing studio Northern Lights in New York City recently promoted Greg Mitchels to creative director/editor, a new role that will enable him to lead the creative process from start to finish. Mitchels, who has over 15 years of entertainment marketing and advertising experience, will oversee projects for net- works, streamers and brands. His portfolio includes work for A&E, Comedy Central, Amazon, History, Johnson & Johnson, YES Network and Lifetime. He also edited emotional PSAs for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and World Down Syndrome Day. SAM HOWELLS LA-based post production studio Ethos recently welcomed colorist Sam Howells to its roster. Largely self-taught, Howells often finds inspiration from pho- tography and paintings for their use of color, light and composition. Howells' skills as a colorist can be seen in Ghostlight, Waiting for the Light to Change and A Black Hole Near Kent County. He has also worked on many commercials, including those for Kerrygold, Volkswagen and Levi's. Additionally, he recently won an AICP Award for Best Color Grading in the Music Video category for his work on Travis Scott's Sirens. MAEVE RUSSELL Imaginarium Studios in London has appointed Maeve Russell head of production. She will work out of both company facilities at Pinewood Studios and Cinesite's offices in central London. Russell's immediate focus at the mocap and per- formance-capture facility will be to provide produc- tion leadership, managing multiple shoots across games, film, music and TV. She comes to the studio from Beyond Capture, where she was vice president, having previously worked her way up from production coordinator, right through to head of production, before being appointed VP. Recent productions under her leadership include Resident Evil 4, New Tales from the Borderlands and Hogwarts Legacy. TIM BELCHER Los Angeles' Light Iron recently appointed Tim Belcher managing director. The announcement coincides with former managing director Seth Hallen departing to pursue opportunities around workflow innovations and AI. Belcher comes to Light Iron from ITV America, where he served as head of finishing operations and technology. Previously, he was senior VP of West Coast picture op- erations at Picture Shop. Prior to that, he spent more than 19 years with Technicolor, including seven years as senior vice president of West Coast picture operations, overseeing all episodic and theatrical work. His career history also includes roles at Rainmaker Digital, Digital Domain and Disney's The Secret Lab. JOSH GUILLAUME Boutique VFX studio Artjail, which has locations in New York City, Toronto and Los Angeles, has bolstered its creative team with the appointment of Josh Guillaume, who will serve as VFX supervi- sor. Based out of Artjail's newest studio in Santa Monica, Guillaume brings nearly a decade of experi- ence in film and post production, having worked at Framestore, MPC, ETC and Blur Studio. He's also directed commercials for a number of clients, including Dell, Amazon and Extra gum. Guillaume's expertise spans 2D, 3D, pre-production and post. He has served in both creative and technical roles across live action, animation and new media. Some of his career highlights include compositing supervision on Free Solo: 360, a virtual-reality short that won a Creative Arts Emmy in Interactive Media, and acting as compositing lead on multiple seasons of Love, Death & Robots. SEAN LEE LA-based OpenDrives, Inc., the provider of soft- ware-defined media workflow solutions and data management capabilities, has appointed Sean Lee as its new chief executive officer (CEO). He recently served as the company's chief strategy and opera- tions officer, and has held leadership positions with OpenDrives since 2015. Lee has a proven track record of managing complex projects, as well as leading teams and business units. He spent 15 years with Universal Studios, implementing efficient processes and designing workflows that improved business outcomes, lowered costs and enhanced security. As CEO of OpenDrives, he will continue to leverage his experience as a customer to develop and deliver solutions that empower content creators and drive the future of media and entertainment.
