Shrouded in a thick fog, the tap of tiny feet clicks as the silhouette of a rat scurries by. The electrical hum of a single streetlight flickers, but the only other sound is the faint, rhythmic crashing of waves against the distant shore. Suddenly, the blast of a foghorn pierces the stillness, reverberating through the empty streets. A low, mournful wind whistles as it passes through the cracks of boarded windows. The faint sound of footsteps echoes in the distance. Each step is deliberate, creating a rhythmic cadence, increasing in intensity. From the depths of the fog-covered ocean, an ethereal melody begins to play. It is hauntingly beautiful, as if calling out from another world. A foreboding rumble and flapping of tattered sails precede the appearance of an old, ghostly ship that emerges from the fog. The mysterious figure stops in the shadows as his burning cigarette crackles menacingly. b y C A S A s s o c i a t e S a m C a s a s SOUND SERVING THE STORY
