In her new role, Hancock will work closely with director of VFX Nick Drew, VFX managing director Nerys Davies and creative supervisor Simon Carr, leveraging her experience to grow close creative partnerships with clients worldwide. Hancock has an expansive background, with 18 years of industry experience, having worked for Dneg, Nviz and The Third Floor. She extended her VFX career internationally through work with Rhythm and Hues Studios in Mumbai, India. Hancock's career includes contributions to King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable, The Midnight Sky and the upcoming action/thriller The Crow. JULIAN LEVI Ghost VFX in Los Angeles has appointed Julian Levi executive vice president, North America. A key ad- dition to the studio's executive leadership team, Levi will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction and growth for Ghost VFX on a global scale. He is based in Los Angeles, and will oversee the studio's talent, technology and services, while also working closely with other members of the executive team, including for collaborations with Ingenuity Studios. Levi's career spans 30 years and includes work with directors Ron Howard, Clint Eastwood, Roland Emmerich, Gareth Edwards, and Joel and Ethan Coen. He was appointed interim vice president of VFX at Paramount Pictures after his time with MPC. Most recently, he was overall production VFX producer for The Creator at New Regency Productions. JOHAN DE NYSSCHEN Munich, Germany's Arri recently announced that Johan de Nysschen will lead the Arri Americas team as president and CEO. In this position, he will oversee the entire region in all functional areas, including Arri Rental North America and Illumination Dynamics. De Nysschen will report directly to Matthias Erb, chair- man of the executive board at Arri. Over the past several months, de Nysschen has served as a consultant for Arri. During his career, he successfully led several transformation processes to- gether with international teams. Arri is retaining the talents of Glenn Kennel, who supervised the Americas team for many years. Kennel, who reports directly to de Nysschen, will now serve as executive vice president sales for Arri Americas. CHRIS EVANS Chris Evans will now lead the unscripted business at Picture Shop's Newman Street facility in the UK. As managing director, Evans will work closely with London talent, as well as those at Picture Shop's fa- cilities in Manchester and Bristol. He began his career as a runner at Picture Shop (previously known as The Farm) in the early 2000s, where he quickly ascended through various roles. ROBERT ROSENTHAL, MATT DUBIN Formosa Group, the Streamland Media division that specializes in post production sound, has announced additions to its leadership team. Formosa Group founder Robert Rosenthal (top photo) returns to the LA studio as president, while Matt Dubin (bottom photo) takes on the role of divisional chief opera- tions officer. Dubin has been a part of the executive lead- ership team since its inception in 2013, and has played an integral role in its growth and success. For the past year, he served as executive vice pres- ident, leading the company globally through the turbulence of the WGA and SAG strikes. His career also includes technical and leadership roles at sev- eral post production facilities. LUCAS MOESCH Editorial shop Bandit in New York City signed editor Lucas Moesch to its roster of creative talent. A seasoned editor with over a decade of experi- ence, Moesch has worked with brands such as Meta, Budweiser, McDonald's, Estee Lauder, Downey, Spotify and Smirnoff. After graduating in Cinema from PUC-RS in Brazil, with a specialization in Expanded Media, Moesch began his journey in editing as an assistant editor at Zepplin Filmes in São Paulo. He then moved to New York City to work as an editor for advertising agency 72andSunny for some time before settling in as a film editor at Final Cut, where he stayed for five years before signing with Bandit. One of Moesch's recent projects was rapper Megan Thee Stallion's Hiss music video. SEBASTIAN KANABAR Brompton Technology, a London-based LED video processing manufacturer, has appointed Sebastian Kanabar technical sales consultant, focusing on the broadcast and film industries. Based at the company's headquarters in Chiswick, UK, Kanabar brings over two decades of experience gained in senior technical, sales and product management roles. In the past, he collaborated with Arri, Panavision, Sky, NBC Universal and CNN. Most recently, he was technical director at a UK-based VFX company. JENS JERMIINAS Denmark's DPA Microphones A/S has appointed Jens Jermiinas VP of marketing. He's been with DPA in an interim capacity since December, and will now fully lead the department. Jermiinas brings marketing experience from work at Coca-Cola, Carlsberg and Bang & Olufsen. He will lead initiatives for the brand's microphones and accessories, including product launches, digital marketing strategies and communications.
