The Xencelabs Pen Display 16's footprint, quality build, value-added features and pricing make it well suited for professional content creators, as well as for educators and students in art and design programs. Designed with portability and convenience in mind, the Xencelabs Pen Display 16 is just .47 inches (12mm) thick, and light, weighing 2.67 pounds. The unit will connect to any compatible PC, Mac or Linux laptop device via a single USB-C to USB-C cable. The Pen Display 16 features an edge-to-edge, super-AG etched glass surface that offers a natural drawing experience with reduced glare. The display supports up to 1.07 billion colors and features five facto- ry-calibrated color spaces. The display's aluminum-back housing ensures rapid heat dissipation without any disruptive fan noise. The unit comes with two pressure-sensitive pens: a three-button pen with a wide barrel featuring three customizable buttons, and a thin pen for those who are looking for the feel of a pencil or thin brush. The Quick Keys remote allows users to create shortcuts. Each of its eight keys has an OLED display that shows the name of the shortcut. A color-coded dial is also featured for zoom, rotate, etc. Pricing is $1,249 (Bundle) and $999 (Essentials). DAVINCI RESOLVE MICRO COLOR PANEL DEBUTS AT NAB FREMONT, CA — At the NAB Show in Las Vegas, Blackmagic Design (www. blackmagicdesign.com) in- troduced the DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel, a new and more affordable color panel designed to work with DaVinci Resolve software. The DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel features high-quality trackballs and precision-ma- chined control knobs for fine tuning primary grading parameters, as well as navigation and transport keys for shortcut commands. The unit is portable and features a mounting slot for an Apple iPad Pro and an internal battery. It connects via Bluetooth or USB-C. The panel allows fluid, hands-on control over multiple parameters at the same time. Three high-resolution, weighted trackballs are paired with 12 precision-machined control knobs, giving direct access to primary correction features. The primary knobs can be used to control Y lift, Y gamma, Y gain, contrast, pivot, mid-tone detail, color boost, shadow, highlight, saturation, hue rotation and luminance mix. When not being used with an iPad Pro, the Mini Color Panel can be placed next to a laptop or computer keyboard so editors or colorists can easily move between the keyboard and the control panel. The unit also has a range of transport and grading control buttons on the left, top and right side of the panel that put important and commonly-used commands at the user's fingertips. Many of these controls, such as wipe still, cursor and select have only been available on the much larger Mini or Advanced grading panels. Blackmagic Design released the DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel in May for $495. SNS'S COMPACT MOD ENABLES GLOBAL COLLABORATION ST.
