The LMGI & Lacy Street Production Center Go to the Dogs The LMGI collaborated with the Lacy Street Production Center in Los Angeles on March 10, 2024, for a dog- friendly familiarization party and a location professional networking event. Los Angeles's Lacy Street Production Center, a 120-year- old landmark, is now vacant and free from prior noise restrictions, sparking new possibilities. Until recently, the property had a long- term tenant with regular office hours that needed to be accommodated when it came to extended hours and noisy filmmaking. Originally constructed as a textile mill for shade cloth and window shades, Lacy Street is also home to the oldest elevator in Los Angeles County. For the past 30 years, Lacy Street has been a popular filming location with its cinematic 1920's brick facades, alleyways, loading docks and rooftops. Notable projects filmed at Lacy Street include the feature films Seabiscuit, Catch Me if You Can, The Addams Family, LA Confidential and numerous TV series, including the award- winning Cagney & Lacey. David McKinney/LMGI, Regional Director of the Western United States, and LMGI administrative manager Erika Howard represented the LMGI in organizing the logistics, marketing the dog-friendly party and helping scouts view the property. "Upon scouting the venue, I saw that the venue manager had her dog in her office and I thought it would be a big draw if we could include our dogs with us on the day," said McKinney who organized the event. "Although the subject of the animal shelter across the street was not included in the invitation, a great number of our members had got pets from there and our event brought people into the shelter." There was a food truck with fried chicken and waffles, as well as adult beverages for the enjoyment of all who attended. Leashed companions joined their humans in a relaxed atmosphere. Members mingled and strolled, exploring the vast property with their furry friends by their side. Said attendee LM Alasdair Boyd/LMGI, "Great space and an absolute blast seeing friends, it was a really great time!" The afternoon event concluded with enough time for attendees to return home and enjoy the Academy Awards ceremony that evening. Among others in attendance were Phill Kane/LMGI, Flint Maloney/LMGI, Miles Beal Ampah/LMGI, Martin Allen/ LMGI, Daniel Rosenthal/LMGI, Casey Boynton, Jason Wisch/ LMGI, Peter Cohn, Paul Brady, Rob Mendel, Mikhael Griffin and Gina Vreeland/LMGI. https://www.icloud.com/ sharedalbum/ #B0g5aDWbrCa5el info@yellowstonefilmranch.com | +1 406 224 7489 y e l l o w s t o n e fi l m r a n c h . c o m A one-stop shop Montana film location with tax credit services, an operational western town backlot, acres of open field available, cabins and medieval sets, and a spacious production office available for rent.
