32 M PS E . O R G cookies prepared by the Oracle (a sugar cookie with green icing and a black edible label with an image of the white rabbit and the words "25" and "Matrix"). Sugar-rushed excited audience members chatted and reminisced while plenty of photos were taken with the various props and costumes displayed in the lobby. Also, it was great to see lots of faces that hadn't been seen in a long time and some new faces as well. David Barber, the newly elected president of MPSE, came into town from the East Coast to attend, as well as some other familiar faces, like Kim Waugh, executive vice president of Warner Bros. Post Production Creative Services, and Gary Bourgeois, one of the Governors of the Academy Sound Branch. Overall, it was a very successful event to celebrate a movie that literally changed Hollywood and honor the man who helped us hear how far down the rabbit hole he really went.
