M PS E CO N T R I B U TO R S Steve Lee, THSM Founder Mark Dodson Tribute/ From The Vault of The Hollywood Sound Museum Steve Lee has been creating and archiving sound effects for over 30 years, and has also performed vocal effects for dozens of projects. He hosts webinars and other programs for The Hollywood Sound Museum, a nonprofit dedicated to sharing the craft of entertainment audio. Jenny Ward MPSE The (Gentle) Art of Collaboration Jenny Ward is an Australian sound editor whose work has been recognised with many national and international nominations and awards. In 2016, she was inducted as a Life Member of the Australian Screen Editors Guild (which she co-founded), and received the prestigious Gold Honour Badge from the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (Australia's film union) in 2017. Jenny continues to proudly advocate for her colleagues as a Board member of the Motion Picture Industry Benevolent Society. Garrett Montgomery MPSE Game Audio Garrett Montgomery is an accomplished post audio professional, with a specific focus on game dialogue recording and editorial. His extensive experience spans over 200 video games, which have been published by some of the industry's top players, including Microsoft, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, 2K Games, Riot, Capcom, Namco Bandai, Nintendo, Sony, Konami, Warner Bros., and others. Currently in his third term as a Board member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors, Garrett has received eight MPSE Golden Reel Award nominations. In 2017, he launched Pacific Coast Audio Post LLC, a specialized post-production studio offering an array of services, including game dialogue editorial, localization mastering, remote recording, analog synthesis, Eurorack modular, sound design, and mixing for both linear and interactive media. Stephanie Brown MPSE Matrix Event Recap Stephanie Brown has been in the sound industry for 25 years. She started as an intern at Danetracks, with Dane Davis, and rose through the ranks to her current position as an ADR/DIA Supervisor. She is currently working at Warner Bros, where she has spent most of her career, working on feature films. Miguel Araujo MPSE Traversing Life's Road With Avram Gold Miguel Araujo is a South African-Portuguese supervising sound editor, ADR mixer, and re-recording mixer living in Vancouver, Canada. He is an active member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and serves as a director to the Board of both the Motion Picture Sound Editors and the Vancouver Post Alliance. Brent Findley MPSE A Review in Two Parts Brent Findley is an award-winning supervising sound editor for film and television projects, including Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso, NBC's The Good Place and A Parks and Recreation Special. He is on the Board of the Motion Picture Sound Editors, a member of the Editor's Guild Emerging Technology Committee and the MPSE Artificial Intelligence Committee. Oliver Kadel MPSE The Evolution of Spatial Audio in Immersive Storytelling Oliver is an award-winning 3D sound designer, recording and mixing engineer based in London, UK. Since 2014, he's worked on over 200 immersive media projects delivering spatial and interactive audio for VR, MR, AR, and 180°/360° films, covering a broad range of sectors from documentary films, games to virtual training, branded content and location-based installations. In early 2018, Oliver and his team launched the Immersive Audio Podcast which hosts industry experts and influential guests discussing all areas of immersive audio and the XR industry. The podcast has been highly commended as a valuable source of information for industry professionals and students, representing numerous industry segments and continuing to grow its audience globally. Christopher Reeves MPSE A Review in Two Parts Christopher Reeves is currently a supervising sound editor with NBC Universal Studios. He has 30 years of experience in post-production sound. He has two Emmys and Three Golden Reels among his awards. As a member of the MPSE Board of Directors and a Television Academy Governor, he has worked to promote the importance of sound and sound editing in television and film. Victoria Rose Sampson MPSE Dear Dialogue Detective Not Just Another Sound Story! After a successful and award-winning 40+ year career as a supervising sound editor with over 200 feature film credits, Vickie Sampson uses her time for teaching, writing, directing, and playing with grandchildren and horses. She still edits sound for indie filmmakers and friends who need it. She has an Emmy, four Golden Reel Awards; has worked on Oscar-winning films for sound and is a member of AMPAS, MPSE, and Alliance of Women Directors. Vsampson@aol.com
