ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CHAOS ADDING A.I. TOOLS KARLSRUHE, GERMANY — Chaos (chaos.com), the developer of 3D visual- ization technology, recently revealed some of its 2024 plans, including the addition of a number of AI-powered tools. In the first half of 2024, Chaos will introduce three original AI-powered tools developed by the new Chaos AI Lab. Chaos users with the Chaos Cosmos browser will soon have access to the new "Text to PBR Materials" tool, giving artists the ability to create new PBR materials by simply describing them. Those materials can then be further refined by adding specific details, such as metallic sheen, scratches, logos and more. Once complete, the materials can be used in any project that can access Cosmos, including Enscape and V-Ray. The popular e-commerce platform Cylindo is also set to receive an AI infu- sion through its upcoming "Instant Lifestyle Images" tool. Users will be able to create high-quality product visuals, while using natural language prompts for composition control. And Enscape, the realtime architectural visualization tool that helps users see their project as a fully rendered 3D walkthrough, will receive an AI upgrade. The new feature will offer hard-drawn aesthetics that can be stylized in real- time, allowing for greater artistic flexibility. RIPX AI DAW COMING TO APPLE VISION PRO LONDON — Hit'n'Mix (hitnmix.com) recently previewed the next evolution of its RipX AI DAW — a version for use with Apple Vision Pro. The company promises a 3D display that sits right before the user, who can work with all forms of audio, including live recorded, MIDI or stem separated. Sound will be presented as ful- ly-editable notes, with instruments distinguished by distance. There are no wave- forms represented and no need for mouse clicks. Users can then explode the music to fill a room, and walk around and interact with a melody while it plays. The RipX DAW is already available for $99 and includes powerful audio separation and in-the-mix note and chord editor technology. Users can break down and customize output from AI music generators with integrated access to a leading service and 3D immersive music-making with Apple Vision Pro. Additionally, users can record using a MIDI/MPE/laptop keyboard or micro- phone/audio input, laying down sounds extracted from existing audio or the built-in library. RipX DAW Pro ($198) includes all of the features and functionality of the RipX DAW, with the addition of stem and AI music generator clean-up, Audioshop sound manipulation tools and pro DAW features. Users can tweak sounds at the harmonic level, draw in guitar slides and vocal embellishments, and edit noise and unpitched sound without affecting the melody. Python scripting is included for complete programmatic control over audio.
