It was an as of yet unnamed application that runs locally and uses sliders for many of the adjustable parameters, giving you a great deal of control over the AI tool. In this case, a camera was feeding live video into a Puget Systems computer, and every few seconds it would generate a new stylized image from a set of cycling styles. You could dial up the imagina- tion factor for less realistic interpretations. It was cycling in between a number of robots of dierent artistic styles, then to origami, and then to other variants, etc. The controls allowed a great deal more inuence over the nal outcome of the images. A downloadable beta will be available very soon, and will be pro- vided as a subscription service initially running locally, and eventu- ally also oered as a cloud service. Right now, it can be used as an event space AI photobooth type of setup, or as a set tool for creating real-time on-set generated AI backgrounds. Finally, it can be used by utilizing other art medium sources run through the application to create something driven by that medium but enhanced by the AI. — Heath Firestone H P : Z 4 R A C K G 5 W O R K S T A T I O N This year at SIGGRAPH, HP announced the HP Z4 Rack G5, a power- ful new 1U rack workstation. Designed and engineered to revolution- ize the way professionals work remotely, the workstation features a compact 1U form factor design and advanced performance tailored to the needs of the most demanding customers. As content creators and engineers adapt to the expectation of working from anywhere, the HP Z4 Rack G5 oers the exibility needed to deliver high-quality, high-performance computing from wherever you sit. With the option of HP Anyware, teams can access the power of the Z4 Rack from any device, delivering fast respon- siveness and image quality, even under varying network connections. The workstation is equipped to power the needs for advanced VFX, 3D modeling, and rendering with up to 24 cores in an Intel Xeon W-2400 CPU, support for NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation graph- ics, and up to 256 GB DDR5 memory, all with room to upgrade and expand. Innovative engineering enables optimal thermal performance, al- lowing the workstation to handle intensive workloads without com- promising productivity. Built with premium components and rigor- ously tested for reliability and durability, the Z4 Rack G5 provides uninterrupted performance for critical tasks. HP has also announced support for the new Ada Generation GPUs—Nvidia RTX 6000, 5000, 4500, and 4000—across their plat- forms. These GPUs oer abundant graphics memory with error-cor- recting code for rendering, data science, and engineering simulation. The fourth-generation Tensor Cores provide up to ve times the model training performance and the inference performance of the previous-generation NVIDIA Ampere architecture for faster genera- tive AI content creation.
