had ideas about Paul's apartment set and wanted to work on it with the Art Department. He went on to say some very specific things about the furnishings…"Paul would have gone to Design Within Reach, walked around and picked out some basics…two of these, three of those and then mixed it up with some great 18th and 19th century antiques and vintage pieces like an iconic George Nakashima bench, a Biedermeier chest and maybe a Harvey Probber sofa." Of course, I was in the back seat furiously scribbling notes, thinking, wow, he really knows design, this will be intense and fun. His level of interest and passion to build his character physically to support the inner dialogue he was having was impressive. The design meeting with Harrison was scheduled a week later to coincide with a walkthrough of the therapy office sets, which were nearing completion. I got busy putting a visual pitch deck together for the apartment set discussion to ensure it was a productive meeting. Things were moving very quickly now. The big meeting was held on Stage 4 at Warner Bros. EP Bill Lawrence, director James Pondsoldt, DP Jim Frohna and our producers were there anxiously wanting this to go well. Last chance to make a good first impression. Jason Segal and Harrison Ford walked in and immediately started joking with each other about whose office was bigger and other barbs of mock competitiveness, their banter and chemistry was hilarious and put everyone at ease. We then got down to business. Jason loved his set, didn't ask to change much of anything, and had great ideas about the top layer of set decoration. We had a discussion about how we would visually A.
