It took reaching out to forty-seven different people to finally land one. Roberto developed a few more illustrations showing how Brynn made this house special with flowers and birds. Jaime's Unreal model worked out the garden she planted in the back. The set decoration and props teams dove into the complicated task of creating all of those Brynn details, layering in the history of her family, 8' 16' 4' BRYNNS HOUSE - FIRST FLOOR STAGE TBD SET NUMBER: 101 SET NAME: LOCATION: 1/8" - 1'-0" SCALE: NOWSY 82'-1" 7'-7" 20'-8" 7'-0" 10'-0" 49'-6" 19'-0" 9'-0" 20'-0" 22'-0" 21'-0" 18'-4" 29'-0" 20'-1" 43'-6" 26'-0" BACK PATIO FRONT PORCH FRONT DOOR FAMILY ROOM LIVING ROOM KITCHEN FRONT HALLWAY BACK HALLWAY PANTRY BATHROOM UP DN REF. This all became such a big task for such a short period of time, production allowed us to bring in a local Art Director, Alice Alward, just to deal with the birdhouses, which she did with calm aplomb —and a very crafty hand. It was so important we all looked for the many small details that showed Brynn's past: family photos here or mementos from long ago family trips there, a sense of never having quite enough money, DIY repair projects in process, sad notes to a friend, Maude, a painted bird or birdhouse in an unexpected place, a room filled with years of unsent letters… At the last minute, schedule threw a wrench at us, and we had to figure out how to turn the location's existing barn into our interior basement, where Brynn had lovingly set up her dress-making shop, so it could be nearby to serve as rain cover for the house exterior. Jessica and MC, plus all of construction, quickly pivoted to save the day. While most of the story takes place in and around Brynn's house, she did venture out, and we had to show the rest of that world and how they responded to her. Matt and Leonard searched to piece together our small town, with multiple neighborhoods and shops, several graveyards, and many wooded roads. In every case, we tried our best to keep the location work in the Zone, but between needing to make sure our world did not look like New Orleans, plus several unexpected cost factors, everything ended up on the North Shore, and fairly spread apart at that.
