Cynthia Summers I have been so blessed as a dual-card holder to work with such talented costume members of IATSE across many locals. Over the past 10 years, most of my work has been in Canada, with most shows maintaining a satellite crew in Los Angeles. I'm always drawn to a project that is "different" from what I've done previously. I love sci-fi/fantasy but also fashion and period. I'm currently on a revamped Goosebumps for AppleTV+ due out in October 2023. Lots of special effects costumes and makeup. I am hoping a Western might be in my future. In July, I wrapped The Last of Us for HBO in Calgary, Alberta. Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events is possibly the largest production I've worked on since. The creature build alone was something I just had to be involved in. Game adaptation to live action intrigued me and the storytelling is the best I have experienced in a long time. Incredibly written characters thanks to executive producer Craig Mazin. I put out an all call for IATSE costume members as the quantity and detail of builds, aging/dying, and shopping was enormous. I am so thankful members were willing and able to join us over the 14-month shoot. The talent that showed up still boggles my mind. A Series of Unfortunate Events.
