chipping a tooth and inducing an appropriate whelp—it worked perfectly. CM: What's one thing you wish you knew at the beginning of your game audio journey that is vital to your day- to-day work now? CS: Not really something I wish I knew but I wish Sound Miner v5 had been around 30 years ago. SJ: It sounds obvious, but always make sure family and relationships are valued above all else. It's a repeated statement these days—and it needs to be, it's all too easy to fall into the trap of work—work work without taking care of yourself. It's something that we push we're very aware of at Sweet Justice, the wellness of the team must come first above all. BM: No project is ever worth a painful sacrifice. Work hard sure, but don't kill yourself. Don't compromise your health or your sanity or your relationships. And watch out for others. Most people that I work with absolutely love their job and sometimes give too much, they are not asked to, but they push themselves, push really hard and show the obvious signs of imposter syndrome and burnout. Even if I knew this at the beginning, I unfortunately think it is something we all go through and learn with time. We learn from our own mistakes. CW: Take your time to choose or shape your sounds well. Don't pile hundreds of sounds on top of each other in the hopes that it will somehow work out in the mix. "Choose wisely" and keep things simple. I think the most important lesson is to shield our crew from burnout. We try to avoid scenarios where our teams are working long hours and weekends. The projects are important but the health of our crew is most important above everything else. CM: Are there future plans that can be talked about where Sweet Justice is hoping/intending to grow into? CS: We have recently started a tech company called SweejTech whose focus is going to be empowering audio developers with the tools and the techniques we already use at Sweet Justice, as well as creating some wild and wonderful additions! CW: By having offices in Europe and Graham Donnelly Atmos Suite, Worthing, UK. 2022 Beanbag reviews. Sam Justice, Worthing, UK. 2022 Sam Justice, commercial mixing. Worthing, UK
