She comes to the studio after spending six years at Uppercut, where she honed her style working on commercial projects for Nike, Google, Facebook and Volvo, as well as Robert Glasper's Black Superhero music video. TONY WANN Motion graphics artist Tony Wann has been pro- moted to creative director of motion design at Charlieuniformtango in Dallas. In his new role, Wann will oversee all motion design for the studio, which he joined in 2005 as an assistant editor. Wann has partnered with agencies that include TRG, The Marketing Arm, GSD&M, LatinWorks and McGarrah Jessee. He has created commercials and videos for the likes of AT&T, Universal Orlando, SunChips, Lay's, H-E-B, DishTV and March of Dimes. GUY LUBIN Framestore's London advertising division contin- ues to grow with the recent appointment of Guy Lubin, who joins the studio as VFX supervisor. Lubin has more than 10 years of industry experience, and joins Framestore from The Mill, where he worked on several notable projects, including Open Spaces for Burberry. Prior to that, he spent time at MPC Advertising, Nexus and The Line Animation. In addition to his work for Burberry, Lubin's credits include campaigns for Apple, Moncler, EE, Marks & Spencer, BT and Balenciaga. MATTHEW BARISH Los Angeles's Imaginary Forces recently welcomed Matthew Barish to the design studio and creative agency, where he will serve as chief operating officer. He has over 12 years of experience in a manage- ment position and is the first COO in the company's 26-year history. Skilled in simplifying the complex, pushing projects forward and wrangling the right resources, Barish believes in playing an active role in the setting of company strategy, as well as its implementation and execution. Prior to joining Imaginary Forces, Barish was senior talent manager at R/ GA. His background also includes time as a freelance project manager, and in talent recruiting and resource management. In addition, Barish was operations manager at The Mill. JOEL PAISNER Producer Joel Paisner has joined boutique visual effects studio Jogger. Based out of Jogger Los Angeles, Paisner will work closely with the pro- ducing teams in the Santa Monica, Austin and San Francisco offices. Prior to joining Jogger, Paisner was a producer for The Mill. He began his career in episodic television, first at Titmouse and then at Nickelodeon. At Media Arts Lab he was a localiza- tion/post producer, and was introduced to the fast-paced realm of short-form content and advertising. HELEN ALEXANDER Formosa Group, which is a part of Streamland Media, has named Helen Alexander managing director of Formosa Group UK for features, broadcast and streaming (FBS). She brings years of leadership experience in post production sound and significant relationships with talent and clients. Alexander, who will be based at Formosa Group's Trident facility in Soho, London, will oversee all of Formosa Group's creative talent in the UK, as well as business operations outside of interactive. She will be integral in formalizing Formosa Group's structure in the UK, building on its fundamental talent-first principle. NIK KOHLER Award-winning editor Nik Kohler has joined the roster of Cabin Editing Company. Based in Berlin, Kohler was recently named to the 2022 Young Guns winners' list celebrating creative professionals under 30. He is available for work globally. Cabin has offices in Los Angeles and New York, and recently launched a London outpost that is home to editors Emma Backman, Carla Luffe, Dylan Edwards, Robert Lopuski and Sam Ostrove. Kohler's approach to editing is heavily influenced by music and sound design. He uses unexpected connections between image and sound to tell impactful stories. JK CARRINGTON Editor JK Carrington has joined the roster at PS260 in New York City. She ranked second amongst all editors who received awards at The One Show earlier this year after winning Best of Show, three Grand Prix and 20 Golds for The Lost Class campaign, which high- lighted the 3,044 members of the 2021 high school class that weren't able to graduate because they were casualties of gun violence at American schools. Carrington's portfolio of editing and sound design work crosses broadcast media, documentaries and advertising. Her credits include clients such as Katy Perry for Killer Queen, Nike, NFL, Diet Coke, Rob Riggle for Veterans United, Mastercard, Microsoft, Verizon, TJX and many more. JANINE CONWAY, CHRIS GREEN New York City's Fancy House of Visual Effects has appointed two highly accomplished visual effects veterans to its senior team. Janine Conway joins the studio as senior producer, helping to oversee produc- tion and business development, while Chris Green becomes compositing supervisor, with a focus on visual effects for features and television. Conway brings 10 years of experience as a pro- ducer at visual effects and design houses, including Buck and Method Studios. She previously collabo- rated with Fancy VFX on ad campaigns for FedEx and Service Now. Green was previously senior Nuke compositor at Crafty Apes VFX. His recent credits include Showtime's Dexter: New Blood, Apple TV+'s Severance and the CBS series Star Trek: Discovery. His background also includes work with New York studios MPC, Phosphene and The Molecule.
