Devotion is a movie based on a nonfiction book of the same name. Taking
place in the first year of the Korean War, it tells the story of the friendship
of two Navy pilots: Ensign Jesse Brown, the Navy's first Black carrier pilot,
a sharecropper's son from Mississippi played by Jonathan Majors, and
Lieutenant Tom Hudner, a white New Englander from the country club
scene, played by Glenn Powell.
