88 • THE ARTISAN WINTER 2023 In Memoriam EXTENDED FAMILY NEWS Art Anthony (1951-2022) Make-up Artist Art Anthony was a proud father of daughter Jasmine Anthony and beloved by his family & many friends in the film industry and jazz world. He was a good man. RIP. Robert Constant (1958-2022) Journeyman Make-up Artist Robert grew up in Arcadia, CA, around the Los Angeles area. After a decade in Spain attending art school and managing an art gallery, he returned to Los Angeles to pursue his love of film and television: to become a costume designer on indie films before attending the Westmore Academy and joining Local 706 in December of 2005. He found his true calling working on House, and Brothers and Sisters, among other TV shows. Robert became a journeyman make-up artist in June of 2007. Robert moved to Chicago in 2017 and took an Honorable Withdrawal. Robert is survived by his sister Joan L. Wood, and his spouse Dale Wibben. James Lee McCoy (1941-2022) Make-up Artist Jim was a second-generation make-up artist, son of Frank McCoy. He started at Universal in 1964 in their apprentice program that took three years. In 1967, he started Ironside with Raymond Burr and that ran for eight years. He then finished his time at Universal on a feature film MacArthur with Gregory Peck. He then started independent films and freelanced on shows and movies of the week. He finished his career on Nash Bridges, which ran for six seasons (1996- 2001), finalizing once it ended by his retirement in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Carol O'Connell of 41 years, three children, two stepchildren, seven grandchildren, one step grandchild and one step great-granddaughter.
