MUSIC VIDEOS www.postmagazine.com 24 POST SEPT/OCT 2022 FRANCESCA BROWN - WRONG TO RIGHT On September 2nd, California-based Country singer/songwriter Francesca Brown released the single and video for Wrong to Right, the first from her upcoming album, which is scheduled for a Spring 2023 release. The Meadows Heavy Records artist used the songwriting process as her own self-therapy session, helping her cope with the unstable environment she grew up in, which included divorce, addiction and witnessing domestic violence. Wrong to Right reflects her self growth from teen to adult, and how she is now rais- ing her own children. According to director Mike Garcia, who shot the project, Brown had a very clear vision of the concept and where she wanted to shoot. "It was my job, as the director, cinematographer and editor, to bring her vision to fruition," he states. "So for me, it was a great collaboration. I had been shooting music videos on my iPhone 8 Plus, but we shot this music video on my iPhone 11 Pro Max, and I used a Moment 58mm lens occasionally. Francesca also shot some of the footage on her iPhone as well, and she would send me the footage. Francesca had a strong vision for Wrong to Right, and I'm very happy to have been a part of bringing it to life." GABRIELLE METZ - MIXTAPE Country artist Gabrielle Metz's latest single Mixtape expresses her love of different musical genres. The new video was shot in and around Nashville, and shows off the Alabama native's 'girl-next-door' appeal. "I really wanted the Mixtape music video to reflect the reason I wrote this song," says Metz. "No matter what your [musical] taste is, we all have songs that end up being the soundtrack of our lives. I loved getting to plan and produce this video from start to finish. Videography is something I picked up during the pandemic and it is something I really enjoy doing, so being able to 'man the ship,' so to speak, on this video has been a blast and a blessing!" The video opens with Metz in her car and cuts to shots of the 21-year-old playing the guitar and singing, as well as taking in Nashville's sights. Her dog even makes a cameo at the end. "We shot the video all across two days around Nashville," she explains. "It was shot on a Canon T6i, and I did all of the editing in DaVinci Resolve. I've found that it's a little more user friendly than its Adobe counterparts, but that's just personal preference."
