opportunities from the places where I was working," Johnson said. "I started doing independent films, documentaries, and just honing my skills myself. It's not something I was originally interested in doing, but for lack of opportunity, I was sort of forced in that direction." His company is Artistry in Sound, a full-service audio and sound post-produc- tion house — and its headquarters during those early years was his garage. It was a start, but as Artistry in Sound's credits grew — among the services offered at the facility are sound supervision and design, dialogue and Foley editorial, re-re- cording mixing, voice-over recording, and ADR recording and editorial — so did its needs. In 2016, after having already moved ABOVE: "We have four seats here [middle row]. Usually the executives sit here. Then we have five seats in the back, although because of COVID, we're not really doing nine people right now. We'e doing more like four [peo- ple], until things loosen up.
