The other aspect of having score through the underwater scenes would be that it might tie the shots together, and we'd potentially lose that sense of travel through the tunnels. I think the right balance for everything to coexist was found at the final mix. When the music does come in, it becomes an incredibly powerful element. MA: Are there additional people and members of your crew that you would like to mention? OT: William Miller—FX/Foley re-recording mixer. He did a great job working with Mike and me to find the right frequency ranges and spatial balances in the underwater environments, and brought a lot to those scenes. RT: Chris Burdon—DX/MX re-recording mixer extraordinaire. So much ADR you'll never know! Michael Maroussas—crowd supervisor, here in the UK, had a lot of crowd sessions and recordings to deal with! Military advisors—General Major Toh in Thailand, Sgt. Jordan Daams in Australia, helped by providing key military jargon for us to include in the Thai Navy SEALs, police, helicopter and US Army radio communications. Teerawat Mulvilai—he played Somboon in the film, then provided invaluable services as a dialect coach to the Thai actors speaking the Northern Thai dialect.
